Tornado's Fight Against FHV started in January 2021 to help educate the public on feline herpesvirus and to spread awareness on preventative vaccinations.
Our goal is to minimize the infected numbers in cat populations at colonies, shelters, and rescues by encouraging FVRCP vaccinations (feline rhinotracheitis vaccine) for these larger cat communities.
We have already produced free educational literature for veterinary clinics to order to help them better educate their clients on FHV and the importance of vaccinations.
Through our free vaccination events that are held for the public, we have been able to spread awareness and have a greater community outreach.
We have two rescue locations under our nonprofit umbrella, Meowbox Adoptions in San Antonio, TX and Friends of Catalina in Alabama.
Both specialize in the treatment and care of special needs cats and those infected with FHV.
